Be Ready When the Auditor Arrives
USDA Process Verified Programs are a great way to command a higher price for your cattle at auction. Participating requires passing a third-party audit from an Official Service Provider, such as FSNS Certification & Audit.
While the scope and duration of your Process Verified Program audit depend on your operation and the process points being audited, all audits follow four basic steps:
- Step 1: Audit initiated
- Step 2: Document review (“desk audit”)
- Step 3: On-site audit
- Step 4: Final audit report
